As female drivers like Danica Patrick look to make history by winning the Indianapolis 500, Google search results reveal that women drivers have already taken the top four spots in the starting grid of popularity.
Milka Duno, Patrick, Simona de Silvestro and Ana Beatriz top the Google list of most popular racers, with Duno leading the pack at some 550,000 searches per month. Retired world champion Mario Andretti clocks in at fifth as the first man on the search rankings list.
On Sunday, four female racers – de Silvestro, Patrick, Pippa Mann and Beatriz – will try to become the first woman to ever win the historic Indiana race. Patrick has previously come closest to victory lane with a third-place finish in 2009.
